Singer/Songwriter Amber DeLaCruz is described as a country soulful rock singer in her hometown. She is not just a singer/songwriter. She brings an entertaining personality on stage with her. She grew up in Callahan, Florida, a small rural town, north of Jacksonville, Florida. Like many artists, Amber started her singing career in the church choir. Amber sang for First Baptist Church Jacksonville choir, the largest church in the state of Florida. Little did Amber know she was going to be a solo singer one day. Amber is known most for her beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, bringing all her heart and soul into the song. Amber started writing her own songs after performing with 3 of the most successful and respected songwriters of Nashville, Brett James, Hilary Lindsay, and Gordi Sampson. She is self-taught on both the guitar and piano. Amber started performing by her self in church at the age of sixteen. She has done volunteer performances for Relay for Life for the past 3 years as well as many other organizations. In the summer of 2011, Amber started performing as a paid artist in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. She plans to move to Nashville in March of 2014 to further her career as a country/adult alternative artist. Ambers dream is to be the first successful Filipino country artist.
